Head of Data, Analytics and Data Science

We’re seeking a Head of Data, Analytics & Data Science to lead our data strategy end-to-end: analytics, BI, and applied data science. This role blends hands-on technical leadership with strategic ownership of our Google Cloud data platform, Tableau-based analytics, and predictive and optimization use cases.

You’ll be responsible for turning operational and event-level data into trusted reporting, predictive insights, and decision support across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Data And Analytics

  • Define and own the company’s data, analytics, and data science strategy

  • Lead and evolve our data platform on Google Cloud Platform, with BigQuery at the core

  • Design and maintain scalable data pipelines, models, and semantic layers

  • Own and govern analytics delivered via Tableau, including executive and operational dashboards

  • Partner with product and engineering on data instrumentation and event design

  • Establish best practices for data quality, governance, privacy, and cost controls

  • Build, mentor, and lead data analytics and data science team members


Platform Engineering

  • Lead applied data science initiatives including:

    • Parcel volume forecasting

    • Network and route optimization support

    • Service-level performance analysis

    • Experimentation and measurement

  • Enable and support ML workflows, including feature engineering and model deployment patterns


Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Data, Analytics and Data Science team

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations leaders to enable a data driven business

  • Report program health, risks, and improvements to the CTO and executive team.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience across data analytics, BI, and data science

  • Proven success leading data teams in a production environment

  • Deep hands-on experience with Tableau (design, performance, and governance)

  • Strong expertise in Google BigQuery

  • Experience with GCP data services, including:

    • BigQuery

    • Cloud Storage

    • Pub/Sub

    • Dataflow and/or Dataproc

  • Advanced SQL skills and strong data modeling background

  • Experience with Python for analytics and data science

  • Experience building and operationalizing predictive or optimization models

  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
